Meet francesca, the founder of Onda
My yoga journey began in 2015 with a single class at Bikram Mitte, Berlin. I walked in not knowing what to expect, and left knowing something had shifted. By 2017, I had completed my first teacher training, and from that moment, yoga became my whole life.
I spent years traveling and teaching — through Denmark, Sweden, Scotland, Italy, and the United States, carrying the practice with me everywhere and learning as much as I taught. Eventually, the path brought me back to Berlin, the city where it all started.
Along the way, I have trained in Original Hot Yoga, Dharma Yoga, Yoga and Ayurveda, Yoga Nidra, Pranayama, Yin and Restorative Yoga, and Warrior Teacher Training. But beyond the certifications, yoga has been my greatest teacher in the most personal sense. Living with different medical challenges over the years, the practice has been my anchor: the thing that brought me home to myself, again and again, beyond the physical.
That is the yoga I share at Onda. Not just movement, but a return to yourself.
When Bikram Mitte closed in 2024, opening Onda felt less like a business decision and more like an act of love. For the practice, for the community, and for everyone who deserves a warm, welcoming place to call their own.
